Carlisle Brake & Friction Inc is Hiring a Material Handler II Near Jackson, TN
- Keep workstations fully stocked with material.
- Put stock away in a timely manner.
- Maintain order and organization in the material storage area.
- Investigate inventory variances.
- Ensure signals for material reorder are communicated.
- Move finished good stock to its appropriate location.
- Receipt products accurately.
- Perform other related responsibilities as needed and assigned.
- High School diploma/GED or equivalent strongly preferred; equivalent combination of education and work history acceptable. Proficient use of Microsoft Office and Epicor or similar ERP systems a must. Basic Knowledge of Kanban and MRP systems.
- Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide and use these skills to solve problems.
- Must be able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions, complete forms with accurate information.
- Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills and be able to communicate at all levels of the organization, both verbally and in written form.
- Must be able to properly identify, count, and maintain required inventory.
- Must be able to work as a cooperative and contributing member of the Team. For example, voluntarily or per supervisor request, helping team members when own work is complete.
- Must be able to operate equipment to move parts, materials, etc - Forklift Certification preferred.
- Exposure to lean manufacturing preferred.
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time; ability to bend and to lift heavy materials.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends.
